Register today to join a FREE emergency preparedness training and resource event on August 26th (9:00-11:00 a.m.) for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, their families, and support providers. The training is free, voluntary, and open to the public.
This event is a collaboration between Community Pathways, Multnomah County I/DD Program, Multnomah County’s Office of Emergency Management, and Oregon’s Office of Developmental Disability Services.
What does this event include?
A 90-minute training on how to prepare for different types of emergencies and natural disasters that we can expect to experience in the Portland Metro area, like wildfires and hot weather, ice storms and cold weather, floods, earthquakes, and power outages.
Examples of emergency supplies, like emergency kits and power stations.
Information and resources shared by local county emergency and disaster management offices and partner organizations.

Cost: Free
Attendees: The training is for adults, but people of all ages are welcome to attend the event. There will not be childcare available, so please plan accordingly.
Accessibility: The building and restrooms are wheel chair accessible. Unfortunately, the training will only be offered in English at this time. A virtual training session being held on October 16th will be recorded with subtitles and translated into multiple languages. The recording and a packet of resources will be made publicly available later this fall. If you have questions or concerns, contact us (see information below).
